10th Blog Assignment

 Do not be fooled by peers and teachers when they say college is crazy and hectic. College is much more laid back than they make it seem. Teachers always made it sound like college had so much homework and tests, in reality, college has been much more easy going than high school ever was. I wish that I would have been told that the students and professors are super hard and don't really talk or interact with you. The students are super nice and welcoming, very easy to talk to. The professors aren't mean either, it was always said that professors are super hard on their students and have so many students that they won't individually help you and that they give you piles of homework and late work is never accepted or that they aren't understanding of situations. I haven't actually experienced any college myths. College is a great way to socially expand yourself. I have always been a bit more mature than people in my grade, I never really had a group or many friends and kept to myself. College is different, the students are mature and very easy to talk to, even being a senior in high school still, I feel as if I am actually a college student, they treat me no different than they would any other college student. College professors are also super nice and understanding. High school teachers always make it seem like college professors are too busy to give you extra help or explain something to you again, but this in fact is not true. All my professors are always willing to give me extra help or explain something again so I am able to understand what it is they are teaching. They are also always very understanding of situations that occur. Professors do not always give out extra credit. Studying is very vital. I was always able to wing a test in high school if I didn't study or didn't study enough, college is not the same. When it comes to college, studying for a couple hours and daily is important and very helpful and useful. I feel like these things we are told as high school kids is used to intimidate us. Like high school teachers want to scare us into taking high school super serious to prepare for college, but in reality, I have not experienced any of those things, the college myths.
